From sampling local specialties at political picnics to dining at James Beard award-winning restaurants, Liz Roach has long held an appreciation for food in all its forms.
A graduate of Furman University and the Columbia University Publishing Program, she has worked in Kentucky politics and government for more than five years. Her background includes experience in fundraising, speechwriting, and scheduling for Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and press secretary for First Lady Jane Beshear, in addition to the fine art of comparing ham & biscuits at political functions.
Liz has found that the political and food worlds share more similarities than one might think, especially a sense of community, competitiveness, and the occasional ability to bring people together around one table. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Liz is a frequent traveler with an appetite for culinary adventures near and far.
