Ellen Call has 20 years of experience in politics, law, and communications.
Call represented 26,000 constituents on the Louisville Metro Council from 2003-2009. She won re-election in 2004 – in an overwhelmingly Democratic district – by 30 points. During her tenure, Louisville Magazine named her one of the most powerful elected officials in the city.
Call has worked on numerous political campaigns and she has extensive communications and media experience as well. As spokeswoman for the proposed El Toro Airport in California, she was frequently interviewed on Los Angeles area television and radio, and she was regularly quoted in the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register.
Call is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Louisville School of Law. Call also attended Cambridge University in England for a year on a Rotary Scholarship.
